I bought this combo in December 2024. When I finally completed the build and tried to calibrate the ESCs one ESC was dead. The Arris frame is great but the Hobbywing FlyFun V5 ESCs that came with this combo have been discontinued. I reached out to RC Wing several times and have received zero replies. This was all after the Chinese Holliday. There's no excuse for failing to reply to my emails. RC Wing has been responsive in the past. However now they have ignored 2 emails and one chat request. After posting a 3 star review, RC Wing contacted me and offered to send another matching ESC for no charge. One of the EaglePower 5215 220kv motors spins at 40%-50% slower RPM at arming speed. I had to adjust several advanced parameters on MissionPlanner so that the quad wouldn't constantly drift in the direction of the weaker motor. Arducopter does a good job at thrust scaling up to a point. I informed RC Wing of the issue but no feedback from them yet. After making several parameter adjustments I was able to make a good first test flight. Overall I'm moderately happy with my purchase. I ordered one replacement motor from RC Wing and another 3 motors from Arrishobby.

The problems I've had with the ESC for one particular motor were definitely caused by the defective motor. The EaglePower 5215 220kv is supposed to have a max continuous current of 25 amps. 3 of the motors I received are within that range. However, the motor I mentioned above was drawing over 50amps continuous current with an inrush current of 71 amps. This is clearly a defective motor. When I contacted RC Wing, they apologized but said that they do not test motors and are not going to replace this defective compo. Although the Arris frame is great and the components are good quality, you should definitely check how many ohms between windings on any motor you purchase and you may want to buy components on Amazon so that defective items will be replaced. I had to order and pay for more motors.
